Job Description

We are looking for someone to join our Marketing team to plan, coordinate and manage our events. We run six to eight physical events a year, including two flagship events, as well as numerous online webinars. You will be working alongside various stakeholders within Hornbill and sometimes with customers to coordinate, plan, promote and deliver both marketing and customer events.The most critical aspect of this role is to demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and to be highly detail oriented. You will be required to liaise and build good working relationships with suppliers, industry bodies and venues; you will coordinate with stakeholders to bring events together. Prior experience in a B2B marketing events context would be very advantageous.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Event scheduling and "on-the-day" management an oversight.
  • Project managing physical events including sourcing venues, catering, accommodation, agendas, event set up, information packs for attendees, provide/organize on-the-day support.
  • Attend physical events for set-up/tear down, meet and greet the attendees. (may require some early starts and late finishes on the event days)
  • Schedule and organize online webinars and manage the overall events schedule.
  • Liaise with other members of the marketing team as well as with external organizations to ensure our events are promoted, including posting any press releases and social media announcements.
  • Maintain and manage existing relationships with suppliers and event partners.

Candidates must

  • Be educated to degree level, within a marketing or events related subject, or have relevant work experience.
  • Must be well organized and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage various projects at once.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Handle essential cost planning and reporting.
  • Highly computer literate with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general business applications.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Flexible "can do" working attitude.


  • Marketing or Hospitality Events (1 year+) or other comparable Project Management or Hospitality related experience (1 year+)
