Hornbill Announces Strategic Solution Partnership with CRC Ltd
August 2nd, 2005 -- Hornbill Systems, a leading provider of IT support and service management solutions, has announced a new Strategic Solution Partnership with CRC Ltd, a vendor-independent IT Asset Management organisation. CRC will become a Systems Integrator of Hornbill's Supportworks and Assetworks. CRC's focus is to provide a comprehensive and functional set of solutions to customers to manage IT assets and reduce costs.
CRC, a Platinum Integration Partner for Centennial Discovery, offers a range of services to clients ranging from asset management and auditing, lease and rental tracking to software and hardware asset management. The software management includes version control and license position (compliance and reconciliation) required for new ISO standards.
The helpdesk functionality within Supportworks complements Centennial Discovery’s system inventory and asset management capability and its cradle–to-grave history of change to enable helpdesk agents monitor activity on a network. Using the integrated solutions enables new software installations, the addition or removal of equipment and licensing requirements for each machine to be logged, both for auditing purposes and ongoing system management.
Tim Collis, Senior Account Manager of CRC Ltd commented: “Hornbill was the logical choice for CRC – it’s out of the box offering means that we can very quickly have a system up and running for clients. Holding asset data within Supportworks is a logical extension of carrying out an audit. We know that by incorporating Centennial asset data within Supportworks, we can rely on a single trusted source of asset information that is easily accessible when carrying out client audits and providing software asset management services.”
Gerry Sweeney, Managing Director of Hornbill said, “Appointing CRC one of Hornbill’s Strategic Solution providers underlines our commitment to provide easily integrated, scalable solutions that are quick to deploy within organisations. Using Supportworks, companies like CRC are able to maximise their investment further by extending their range of offerings to clients outside of the pure IT arena into other service areas like Facilities Management and HR.”
