The Role
Hornbill is looking for a Web Application Developer to join our team to continue the growth of our award winning service management applications. The team's focus is to build and deliver leading edge solutions using the latest web technologies.
The successful candidate must be self motivated and driven to
provide quality and attention to detail with a "customer first"
attitude. Strong communication skills must be demonstrated from
both a business and a technical perspective
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in an agile development environment through collaboration and adaptive planning.
- Work as part of a project focused development team.
- Designing, coding, testing and debugging multi-tier applications.
- Drive usability and quality throughout the applications.
- Establishing and detailing application specifications.
Experience
- Extensive experience working in a development environment
- Experience with developing web applications with a focus on front end development
- User Interface design experience
- The creation and writing of requirements documentation, technical specifications
- A good understanding of development life-cycles
- Experience working in a Scrum development environment
- Experience with versioning and change control software
- Familiarity with the IT Service Management industry would be seen as advantageous
Technical Skils
- SQL and Database Experience (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle)
- XHTML, CSS, Cross browser compatibility
- JavaScript (DOM, DHTML, AJAX)
- Web Services architecture
- JSON, XML, XML Schema
