We are looking to recruit a tech-savvy junior member of our Cloud Support team. You will either be a graduate or someone with relevant experience in a similar role, and will join our expanding team of talented and highly experienced engineers. The role, which is based at Hornbill's headquarters in Ruislip, includes medium term, one-to-one mentoring and support giving you an amazing career opportunity to work for a progressive technology company. To develop skills and attain real live experience in cloud systems development and live global operations, as well as software quality, integration and validation all under the watchful eye of seasoned and experienced professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Writing scripts to deploy software on our cloud servers

•Contributing towards the development and deployment of proactive  monitoring tools

•Providing customers with first-rate support, both by phone and by email

•Investigating and replicating customer issues

•Testing software prior to its deployment in the cloud

We pride ourselves on offering customers the very best level of infrastructure support, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week 365 days a year. The successful candidate would be expected to cover out of hours support on a Rota basis once familiar with the systems.

Required Skills

 
•Familiarity with Linux

•Knowledge of one of more scripting languages

•Ability to create testplans

•Quality and customer focus running through your veins

•Good communication skills

•Good team player

•Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

•Willingness and ability to learn new technologies

Desirable Skills

•Ability to troubleshoot server problems

•Knowledge of Windows server administration

•Knowledge of MySQL

•Knowledge of Apache
